1.   What are the different types of life process?
Answer:    The different types of life process are:
                    1. Respiration
                    2. Digestion
                    3. Transportation
                    4. Excretion
                    5. Nutrition

 2. Define Autotrophic nutrition.

Answer:    Autotrophic Nutrition means the type of Nutrition in which the organisms make their own food. The process by which these organisms make their food is known as Photosynthesis and this process is performing by green plants and green algae.

   3.  Define Heterotrophic Nutrition.

Answer:      It is the type Nutrition in which the organisms do not make their own food and hence they are dependent on other organisms for food. Example - Human, animal, and Bird etc.

4. What are the various steps of photosynthesis?

Answer:    steps involve in the process of photosynthesis are:
1. The green pigment present in the leaves of the green plant called  chlorophyll traps the sunlight in the leaves.
2. The step change the light of the sun into energy which help to start the process of making food.
3. Then the root take up all the nutrients and water from the soil to the leaves and then the leave mix the water, Nutrient and carbon dioxide  make food.

Homework

ACTIVITY NUMBER  1

1) To study the peristaltic movement in our food pipe (Oesophagus ) by using a Tyre tube .

OBJECTIVE : To study the Peristaltic Movement in food pipe .

MATERIAL REQUIRED  : 1)
Tyre tube
                                         2)Some wet soil

PROCEDURE  :

a)First take the Tyre tube and cut it from a point to make it a circular pipe
b)Put the soil into the pipe from end of the Tyre
c)Then try to move the soil downward by the method of contraction and expansion
d)Do the same method ,to move the soil downwards

OBSERVATION  -
We have observed that mud came out from the pipe  by the method of    contraction  and expansion is the same process by which the food that we take reaches to our stomach from the Buccal cavity and this process of contraction and expansion called peristaltic movement .

Activity 2
Objective : To study how label a diagram in correct manner
and learn all the organ of our digestive system

Material required
Diagram consisting all the part of our digestive system

Procedure :
Label all the organs  at  their correct place and observe the    direction  of the arrows

Conclusion : We conclude that our digestive system consist different organs :
                       1) Buccal cavity
                       2) Oesophagus
                       3) Liver
                       4) Stomach
                       5)Gall bladder
                       6) Pancreas
                       7)Large intestine
                       8 ) Small intestine
                       9)Appendix
                      10) Rectum
                      11) Anus
-  By this activity we also learn how to mark arrows  to label the diagram

2) In which part of plant dark reaction takes place

Answer) : In plants Dark reaction also takes place in stroma a fluid area of chloroplast

3) What is Grana?

Answer: Grana are the plural form of Granum ,these are stacks of thylakoids embedded in the stroma of a chloroplast.

Homework

1) Difference between starch and sugar?
ANSWER:
                        Starch
                      sugar
Starch is a long chain of single sugar .
Sugar is a single molecules of carbohydrates
Sources of starch : bread and potato
Source of sugar : sugarcane and juices

2) What is the function of salivary?
Answer: our salivary gland secretes the salivary amylase (enzyme) which digests the starch and makes it into simpers form .it is also known as Ptyalin.
3) What is the pH of mouth?
Answer: pH of mouth of a  healthy person  is above 7.
4)  What is function HCL, Mucus and Gastric juice secretes in the stomach?
Answer:
i)function of HCL: a) it kills the microbes of food
                                  b) It soften the non-veg
                                     c) It
activate the enzymes pepsin
ii)  Function of Mucus:  a) it protects the stomach from the effect of HCL.
iii) Function of Gastric juices:  a)gastric juice secretes from gastric gland present                  in our stomach .Gastric juice contains HCL, mucus and   enzymes.
iv) Function of enzymes: there three types of enzymes that are:
     a) Pepsin: it breaks the complex protein into simple protein
     b)  Rennin: it converts the milk / milk product to curd .it also known as   milk curdling enzyme .                 c) Gastric lipase: it breaks down the complex fat into simple fa
