Aarush Sinha-----------Life Processes Activities

                                              Activities

1) To study about peristaltic movement in food pipe using a tyre tube

Material Required: A tube of tyre and some object(mud).

Objective: To see the peristaltic movement in the food pipe.

Process: First take the tyre tube and cut it so that it becomes flat and then add some mud in it from one end of the pipe and then close that end of the pipe.
Then by doing contraction and expansion in the pipe by hands we try to push the food in downward direction and this is in the same way as it happens in our food pipe, our muscles contract and expand in order to push the food in downward direction.
After some time we observed that the mud has come out of the other end of the pipe.

Observation: We have observed that the mud in the tyre tube has came out of the other end of the pipe the movement caused by the expansion and contraction of the food pipes.

2) Labelling of different parts of the digestive system in human body and learned their function.

A diagram of human digestive track was given to us in which there were blanks for writing different names of the organs associated with digestion.
After a little bit of discussion we have filled the blanks of that paper and then told the functions of the different organs.

We had learned a new thing in this activity about labelling that was a small and common thing but was very important.
we had learned about the arrows we use for labelling that the arrow should face in direction of the organ we have to write in its opposite and we generally do it's opposite.

THANKS to Mrs. Rina Krishnan mam because of whom at least i(Aarush Sinha) understood my mistake and from now i will not make that kind of mistake again.
